Jonah – The Petulant Prophet
When most people think of Jonah, they picture a giant fish. But Jonah’s story is about much more than that. It’s the story of a man who resisted God’s call, struggled with His mercy, and discovered that God’s grace is far wider than he ever imagined.
In this new sermon series, Jonah – The Petulant Prophet, we’ll walk through one of the most surprising books of the Bible. Jonah isn’t a polished hero—he’s stubborn, reluctant, and sometimes downright angry. And yet, through his failures, we see a God who pursues, forgives, and loves beyond borders.
Just like Jonah, we wrestle with obedience, compassion, and the uncomfortable truth that God’s mercy extends to people we’d rather not forgive. Jonah’s story isn’t just ancient history—it’s our story, too.
“You are a gracious God and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and relenting from disaster.”
