Mercy MinistrY

"…even the least of them, you did it to Me."  Matthew 25:40

Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministers are assigned to one-on-one, gender specific care providing for individual care receivers.  Currently the Stephen Ministry team is composed of three trained Stephen Ministry leaders plus five trained Stephen Ministers. Stephen Ministry supervision meetings are held every three weeks.  Stephen Ministers participate in the peer supervision process.   Outreach to members of the community is a component of this ministry.

Stephen Ministers are congregation members who are recruited, selected, trained, and commissioned to provide one-to-one lay caring ministry to persons in crisis or with other needs for care. They participate in Supervision Group twice a month. They initially commit to serve for two years including training and may renew their commitment.

Celebrate Recovery Ministry

Currently this outreach ministry is on hiatus.  Plans to re-establish this ministry will be addressed in the future.

Women's Compassion Connection

The Women’s Compassion Connection is for women in need of mercy, compassion, and encouragement. They meet once a month for lunch after 2nd service in Room 107. Watch the calendar for the next meeting, then RSVP to Bev Molatore at 292-1946.

GriefShare Ministry - Tuesdays at 6:30pm

GriefShare is a special seminar and support group for people  (men and women) grieving the loss of someone close.  Church attenders who understand such loss and who want to offer comfort and encouragement during this difficult time facilitate the group meetings.  The meetings are scheduled for every Tuesday evening at the church.  This outreach ministry includes at least 75% attendance of individuals from other churches and those of the local community without church affiliation.  Christ’s love is the ministry theme.

Counseling Ministry

Professional counseling sessions are held weekly.  Counseling session appointment priority is maintained for attenders of Clovis Evangelical Free Church. Counseling services are available as a ministry outreach to individuals from other churches and members of the community without church affiliation.  A variety of marital, relational, mental health, and spiritual issues are addressed in the counseling process.  Discipleship and prayer are integral components of the counseling process. Christ is central at all times.  Integration of Christian Biblical precepts is fundamental to the counseling process.
